Spokane Valley, WA - Covermaster® is excited to congratulate one of our long-time customers, the Spokane Indians, on officially being named the Colorado Rockies’ High-A affiliate. The minor league baseball club signed a 10-year agreement to play in the newly formed High-A West League.

It was great news for the Washington team considering Major League Baseball’s contraction of its minor league operations last year, reducing the number of affiliates by 40. Moving up from a Class A Short Season designation means the team has new guidelines to follow and that includes investing in updated equipment for their home field at Avista Stadium in Spokane Valley.

A new Raincover Ultra™ baseball field tarp, batting practice turf protectors, and batting cage collar are among the upgraded products that head groundskeeper Tony Lee and his crew will use to maintain the baseball field. The order also included new mound, plate, and bullpen covers, all ready to go when the season opens on May 4.

Raincover Ultra™ infield tarps boast the industry’s strongest core, standing up to hundreds of pounds of water. At more than 200 pounds lighter than other available field covers, the premium infield tarp is easy to handle and store, resists dirt accumulation, and keeps turf cooler and drier thanks to its exclusive Shield-Tek coating technology.
