Lakeland, FL - Back in 1996, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, purchased gym floor protection from COVERMASTER® that was 14-ounce vinyl and more importantly, red. One glance at the college’s logo and for that matter, their website, and you’ll see red.

That was then and much has changed over the years. Now, COVERMASTER® features the ULTIMA 5000™ gymnasium floor covering - a heavy duty, 32-ounce extra thick, and slip resistant gym floor protection system. You have a choice of dark grey, royal blue, or hunter green with neutral on the other side but…not red.

While Florida Southern College were all in on COVERMASTER® ULTIMA 5000™ gym floor covers, they wanted red and not just any red, their red. They were happy with the neutral side for multi-use functions but for more specific activities including athletics, they wanted their red on the other side.

For orders of 20 thousand square feet and more, COVERMASTER® noted that a custom PMS color could be ordered. Florida Southern College ordered 19 sections of COVERMASTER® ULTIMA 5000™ gym floor covering and are very happy to see red!
