New Britain, CU -When Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) in New Britain, Connecticut purchased gym floor protection from COVERMASTER® for its gymnasium, no one ever imagined that it would get the job done for over 30 years! While Blue Devils basketball and volleyball are the main athletic use of the gymnasium in Kaiser Hall, many non-athletic events are also held there. When new, replacement gym floor covers were needed to protect the gym floor from potential damage caused by chair and table legs, staging, and hard-heeled shoes, COVERMASTER® was contacted.

Based on the performance and durability of the former COVERMASTER® gym floor cover system, CCSU didn’t hesitate to order 17 sections of Ultima 3000™ measuring 10 feet by 142 feet each. Three Ultima Series COVERMATE II™ floor cover storage racks were also ordered along with Ultima Series CoverClean™ Brush Systems. These accessories sweep both sides of each cover section as they're loaded back on storage rack. To make loading easier , a POWERMATE™ heavy duty power winder was added to the order. Time was of the essence. CCSU needed the new gym floor protection covers in just 6 weeks. As the saying goes, the devil is in the details and COVERMASTER® made sure it was delivered to the home of the Blue Devils right on schedule.
