Werner Park - The Omaha Storm Chasers are keeping the rain away with one of the industry’s premier choices in baseball field tarps.

The Triple-A affiliate of the MLB’s Kansas City Royals plays out of Werner Park in a suburb of Nebraska, just southwest of Omaha. The $36-million ballpark opened in 2011 and also hosts the Union Omaha soccer club and collegiate baseball teams.

In 2013, COVERMASTER® supplied a baseball field cover to the stadium. Last March, a repeat order for a new 175x175-foot RAINCOVER ULTRA™ infield cover was delivered in time for this spring’s upcoming season. A little larger than the average field cover, the new lightweight baseball infield tarp is the industry’s strongest and can withstand the weight of hundreds of pounds of water.

Each infield tarp uses the exclusive COVERMASTER® Shield-Tek™ coating technology for 100-percent sunblock to help keep the turf cooler and drier, with two models available. In warmer climates, the dual-sided white/silver tarp minimizes heat buildup, and the silver/black version can either reduce heat or draw it into the field in colder climates.
