DeLand, FL - Stetson University in DeLand, Florida was named after the inventor of the cowboy hat, John B. Stetson, who was a major benefactor of the institution. COVERMASTER® has been providing the university with sports surface protection for over 30 years. Back in 1990, the university ordered gym floor protection for their Edmonds Gymnasium, but that’s not the rest of the story.

In 2014, Stetson ordered 13 sections (10 feet x 103 feet per section) of green MASTER 3200™ gym floor protection from COVERMASTER®. MASTER 3200™ is a heavy-duty, 32-ounce gym floor cover designed to protect the athletic floor of their Hollis Gymnasium from the wear-and-tear of non-athletic events. Coming full circle, Stetson was so pleased with the new gym floor cover that they ordered the same gym floor protection as a replacement for their Edmonds Gymnasium!

The university followed up with an order for COVERMASTER® RAINCOVER ULTRA™ for the infield of their large, multi-million dollar baseball stadium. It’s another example of how COVERMASTER® continues to help their customers with all of their sports surface protection needs.
