Dunedin, FL - This season’s opener at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida not only saw the Toronto Blue Jays return to the field, but also proudly display the TD Bank logo on a new baseball field tarp from Covermaster®.

Though the Dunedin venue normally serves as the team’s spring training field, pandemic restrictions saw the Blue Jays start the 2021 regular season in Florida. As of June 1, the MLB team will move a little closer to home, shifting games to Sahlen Field, in Buffalo, New York.

The new Raincover Ultra™ infield tarp measured out at 170x170 feet and was just one of several Covermaster® products provided for the recently renovated field. Custom bench padding for the TD Ballpark dugout benches was also added this year, similar to padding installed in Buffalo last year for the team.

Raincover Ultra™ field tarp is the industry’s strongest core infield cover, easily handling the removal of hundreds of pounds of water. Its dual sides can either minimize heat buildup or draw heat into the turf in colder climates, resists dirt accumulation, and is more than 200-pounds lighter than other available field covers. The vinyl reinforced handles are designed to spread the pull force out over a greater area than a simple web handle ever could, making it simple to handle and store.
