Middlebury College Comes Back to COVERMASTER® for Gym Floor Protection
Middlebury, VT - 25-year old COVERMASTER® gym floor cover replaced by new one from COVERMASTER®.
Founded in 1800, Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont is a private liberal arts school that offers over 40 majors and minors in such areas as languages, environmental studies, and international relations. Located on 350 acres, the campus includes sport facilities for everything from basketball, football, and soccer to ice hockey, swimming, and more. The college also features an 18-hole golf course on their main campus and alpine skiing at their nearby mountain campus.
Back in the fall of 2001, Pepin Gymnasium, home for Middlebury’s women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball, underwent major renovations that included new bleachers, lighting, a skylight and a new gymnasium floor. To ensure that they had gymnasium floor protection from multi-use, non-athletic events, the college contacted the world leader in sports surface protection, COVERMASTER®.
Nearly 25 years later, Middlebury College re-surfaced the gym floor at Pepin Gymnasium and decided it was time to replace their gym floor protection. They came back to COVERMASTER® for ULTIMA 4000™, a heavyweight, diamond tread-plate pattern, slip resistant gym floor cover system. It’s designed for high frequency use, can be used either side up, and provides gym floor protection during heavy traffic events that include tables, chairs, and staging. Middlebury College knows from experience that their new COVERMASTER® ULTIMA 4000™ will protect their refurbished gym floor for many years to come.
