Dumfries, VA - In the past, First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries, Virginia had purchased COVERMASTER® vinyl gym floor protection for non-athletic events. However, for their 155th anniversary event, Ernest Robbins, facility manager for the 200 thousand square foot campus, decided that the event really deserved a more prestigious look for the protective floor covering.

Robbins contacted COVERMASTER® for a solution that he could get quickly before the 155th anniversary event. The PLATINUM COVERTILE™ was recommended and 352 of these gym floor protection tiles in charcoal color were ordered on October 12th. Two days later, the gym carpet tiles were shipped and on October 17th, PLATINUM COVERTILE™ was at the First Mount Zion Church facility ready for installation.

Once installed, Robbins absolutely loved the more upscale look that COVERMASTER® COVERTILE™ gym floor carpet provided, “COVERTILE™ gave the look I always wanted!”. The gym floor carpet tile not only looked great, but it also helped dampen the sound for improved acoustics. It was a first class look for a monumental event.
