Lawrence, KS - Situated in Chalk Rock Park, the Arrocha Softball 11 hundred seat stadium is home to the University of Kansas Jayhawks, an NCAA Division 1 softball team in the Big 12 Conference. While their outfield is artificial turf, their infield is a clay mixture – a groundkeeper’s nightmare when it rains!
If the infield gets wet or even worse, soaked, games will have to be cancelled or postponed and significant time and labor would be needed to return the softball infield to a playable surface. To avoid that, Kansas Athletics ordered a 120 x 120-foot RAINCOVER ULTRA™ softball infield tarp. It’s the industry’s strongest core raincover capable of handling hundreds of pounds of water when it’s removed from the softball infield. Designed with less friction, it minimizes surface material from sticking to the cover, which will leave the clay mixture infield virtually intact.
How well has the COVERMASTER® RAINCOVER ULTRA™ performed for Kansas Athletics? “We are very happy with the tarp for our softball infield. We have had no issues thus far and have required no repairs. One of our Associate Athletic Directors, Tad Dunn, recommended COVERMASTER® for this purchase.”
