Vermillion, SD - In 2017, COVERMASTER® provided windscreen for the softball program at the University of South Dakota (USD) in Vermillion which is located in the south-east corner of the state near the Missouri River. The 234-acre campus features the College of Arts and Sciences, the Beacom School of Business, the School of Education, and the College of Fine Arts, as well as South Dakota’s only medical school and law school. USD is also the home of several NCCA 1 sports including the Coyotes football team.

When it was decided that windscreen was required for its football practice facility, USD contacted COVERMASTER®. They wanted to frame the practice field in a professional manner that eliminated distractions outside of the fence and proudly displayed the South Dakota Coyotes brand. “We have used COVERMASTER® in the past and the projects have been top notch, so we wanted to keep up the level of quality across our facilities.”

Upwards of 1,200 square feet of COVERMASTER® TUFFY® WINDSCREEN was ordered in vermillion (red) and white and included custom branding using the coyote paw logo. It’s super tough, nearly tear-proof, and highly resistant. Made from our unique Vipol™ Matrix Material, this super-durable mesh fabric features tightly woven micro-fibers and eliminates thread unraveling by using double-needle lock stitching. Once TUFFY® WINDSCREEN banners were installed, wind issues were also reduced and the only howling came from USD’s South Dakota Coyotes football team.
