Tuscaloosa, AL - Home of The University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide football team, Bryant–Denny Stadium is the 8th largest stadium in the United States and the 10th largest in the world. Opened in 1929, the stadium has seen many upgrades and improvements over the years. In 2023, plans were set in motion to change the more than 100 thousand-seat stadium’s playing field configuration and then apply new turf from one end of the field to the other.

Prior to this, The University of Alabama had been using EVERGREEN® RADIANT TURF COVERS from COVERMASTER® to not only provide turf protection from weather conditions and adverse growing conditions but to also provide a longer growing season and earlier spring green ups. Impressed by its proven greenhouse effect and improved turf conditions, the university did not hesitate to contact COVERMASTER® for a new set of EVERGREEN® RADIANT TURF COVERS for its newly configured turf.

Nearly 78 thousand square feet EVERGREEN® RADIANT TURF COVERS were ordered from COVERMASTER® along with six custom-size TARPMATE AIR™ ROLLERS. Easily inflated with standard leaf blowers, TARPMATE AIR™ ROLLERS are lightweight and easy for two grounds crew to roll. There’s no folding and unfolding required which reduces the time and effort to install and remove the ultimate in proven turf protection. It’s truly a repeat EVERGREEN® RADIANT TURF COVER performance.
