Largest Sports Venue in Hong Kong Uses COVERMASTER® Stadium Seat Covers

Kai Tak Sports Park is the largest sports venue in Hong Kong and includes a 5,000-seat Public Sports Ground, a 10,000-seat Kai Tak Arena, and a 50,000-seat stadium. Featuring a retractable, soundproof roof, the stadium also has a pitch surface that seamlessly changes from natural turf for such sports as football and rugby to an artificial surface for other sporting events to community functions and major entertainment concerts.

Even the stadium seating can be configured to suit the seating requirements of an event. To ensure that seating is maximized in specific areas, COVERMASTER® was contacted to provide custom stadium seat covers. This would allow Kai Tak to further control seating by covering areas of seating not sold or restricted from use. It would stop ticket holders from moving to those areas during the event and eliminate cleanup costs afterwards.

PERFKNIT™ stadium seat covers were chosen for its unique ability to stretch vertically for tensioning but not stretch horizontally when installed over stadium seats. 13, 780 square feet of black PERFKNIT™ was custom-cut into 35 individual sections of varying dimensions. By doing this, the stadium at Kai Tak had even more flexibility with its seating availability thanks to COVERMASTER® stadium seat covers.
