HIGH ROLLERS IN LAS VEGAS MAKE TURF COVER INSTALLATION A BREEZE
Las Vegas, NV - The playing field at the new, state-of-the art Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada features a 4-foot deep, 9,500 square foot retractable tray, that is home to a natural grass playing surface. It is moved outside the stadium when the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League are not playing. Moved outside on electric-powered train rails, the grass turf is exposed to natural sunlight and water. Inside, artificial turf can be rolled out on the stadium’s concrete floor for other activities and rolled back up when the natural grass is returned for a Raiders home game.
When a quick and easy way to both install and remove field covers at Allegiant Stadium was needed this year, COVERMASTER® was contacted once again to provide two TARPMATE AIR™ ROLLER handling systems. These inflatable tarp rollers not only eliminate the need to fold and unfold field covers, but they also do so in record time. The Raiders already use COVERMASTER® TARPMATE AIR™ ROLLERS on their practice field in Henderson, Nevada just outside Las Vegas. The groundskeeping staff are impressed with how quickly they could install and remove the turf blankets so it was only natural that they wanted it for Allegiant Stadium.
COVERMASTER® TARPMATE AIR™ ROLLERS are lightweight and only require two grounds crew to roll and unroll a 100-foot-wide field cover section. They are quickly inflated by using standard backpack leaf blowers and of course, deflate after use when moved to storage. Their time and effort to install and remove field tarps and turf blankets are greatly reduced allowing the crew more time to focus on the health and growth of the playing field.
