CSUN MATADORS ARE SPOT ON WITH BRANDED COVERMASTER® COVERS

Los Angeles, CA - COVERMASTER® spot covers will protect and promote with custom branding

California State University at Northridge (CSUN) is located in northern Los Angeles. In addition to its nine colleges that range from Science & Mathematics to Engineering & Computer Science, CSU has 19 sports teams in NCAA Division I, including baseball and softball. Matador Field is home to Cal State Northridge baseball, while softball is played at nearby Matador Diamond.

CSUN ordered COVERMASTER® 18-ounce coated vinyl, heavy duty spot covers, with grommets every three feet on the hemmed perimeter for home plate, the pitcher’s mound, and the bull pens at both facilities. These COVERMASTER® SPOT COVERS keep all these areas dry during rainstorms and protect them from the sun once prepped for use. To enhance their branding and provide a pro-team look, the school customized the spot covers with a specific brand that featured either the CSUN logo, the Matadors graphic, the name Matadors, or Valley State.

To protect the turf and down the base lines during batting practice, CSUN ordered COVERMASTER® INFIELD TURF PROTECTORS. Featuring VIPOL™ Matrix Material, an industrial mesh fabric, the protectors allow sunlight, air, and moisture to safely reach the turf below. Now, the turf is protected when balls land hard during batting practice and the protectors can be left in place for longer periods without causing harm to the turf below.
