Troy, OH - From the Antioch Shrine Circus to Alice Cooper and the American Girl Live pop-up concert, Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio hosts a wide variety of sporting events, trade shows, conferences, and concerts from one year to the next. It’s also the home of Troy Trojans Varsity Hockey, Troy Bruins Youth Hockey, and the Troy Skating Club. As with any multi-purpose facility, changeovers from ice to non-ice activities always presents a challenge.

Back in 2015, the City of Troy committed $9.6 million to the Hobart Arena renovation and expansion project, which was fully completed in May of 2017. During that time, they continued to use their old Ice Deck, which enhanced Hobart Arena’s ability to increase its revenue while maintaining the integrity of its ice surface.

In 2023 when bids for a replacement ice rink covering was issued, it required a more modern system than their old Ice Deck.
