COVERMASTER® Windscreens Increase Privacy on Arlington Tennis Center Courts

Arlington, TX - The Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas is a multi-million-dollar, award-winning public tennis complex that draws players of all ages to its 20 lighted outdoor courts. Though the city-owned venue is already a top-rated facility, new improvements are increasing the player experience.

Late last year, COVERMASTER® shipped 9,800 square feet of tennis windscreen to the north Texas facility for installation inside the courts. The black tennis court screens — each nine feet high with open windows sewn into the panels for airflow — provide shade, a wind block, and privacy for players inside the court. In addition, the tennis fence screen allows better ball visibility against the darker background.

Each windscreen was finished with grommets at 12-inch spaces, making it easy for staff to install or remove each panel with simple zip ties. Not only are the tennis courts windscreen from COVERMASTER® puncture-and tear-resistant, but they can create a uniform look that improves the venue’s overall esthetics.

The Arlington Tennis Center hosts everything from beginner lessons to sanctioned and national events, including the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying tournament. A full-service pro shop and professionally certified teaching staff round out the venue’s offerings.
