Branded Seat Covers From COVERMASTER® Dress Up Winnipeg Jets’ Arena for Television
Winnipeg, Manitoba - Hockey is making its way back to the arenas for the 2020-21 season, and that’s big news for both players and fans. Though COVID-19 has posed challenges for the NHL’s teams, the Winnipeg Jets are ready to drop the puck as part of the newly aligned North Division.
The Jets are among the seven Canadian teams playing in the travel-restricted division that will see them face off in the regular season and the first two rounds of playoffs. But fans are still prevented from attending games in person so arenas like the Bell MTS Place in downtown Winnipeg are using arena seat covers to improve visuals for the televised games.
Though they were hopeful to receive provincial approval to play at home — they’ve since been given the green light — Jets’ staff began working with the COVERMASTER® and The Look Company’s teams over the Christmas holidays to design, supply, and install custom seat covers halfway up and around the rink’s lower bowl. Bleacher seat covers made of polystretch fabric were printed with team branding in the Jets’ aviator blue and fitted onto frame structures for the first game in mid-January. These branded seat covers are designed to limit any glare from the overhead lighting to provide the best possible look on television.
