Traverse city, MI - Located high up in north western Michigan, Traverse City is at the base of the East and West Arm of Traverse Bay which flows out to Lake Michigan. It’s home to Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) which oversees 10 elementary schools, two middle schools, a Montessori school, and three high schools – one of which provides alternative high school education. With over 8,000 students, TCAPS is dedicated to providing support for all learners in achieving their full potential.

As part of their athletics complex upgrades, TCAPS contacted COVERMASTER® for their baseball infield tarps. In addition to keeping home plate and pitcher mounds dry during rainy conditions, they also wanted infield tarps that didn’t require pegging them down. COVERMASTER® WIND WEIGHTED® FIELD TARPS provided the ideal solution to their needs. “You had the lowest quote and delivery time compared to two of your competitors. You also had excellent reviews online.”

WIND WEIGHTED® FIELD TARPS are made from rugged, 18-ounce vinyl/polyester that includes UV and mildew inhibitors. Chain is sewn in around the perimeter of each tarp to weigh it down. This ensures that these weighted tarps stay in place during high winds up to 65 miles per hour. TCAPS is very pleased with its 10 home plate and 10 pitcher’s mound raincovers from COVERMASTER® and the comfort of knowing they won’t blow away after installation.
