Allegany, NY - Guests and students of St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, New York will soon be striding across a new gym floor carpet during special events held on the school’s campus.

Just over 20,000 square feet of PLATINUM EASYROLL™ commercial gym carpet from COVERMASTER® arrived for use in the Richter Center, the school’s state-of-the-art fitness and recreation hub. It’s also versatile enough to cover the court in the Reilly Center, ranked one of the top 10 basketball venues of its kind by ESPN and alma mater to former NBA star Bob Lanier.

Designed to both protect and give a more formal look to athletic surfaces, the premium roll-out gym floor carpet arrived in 33 rolls, along with six mobile storage racks and a heavy-duty POWERMATE™ portable winder. Produced in a popular shade of carbon, the surface lays flat on the gym floor, eliminating tripping hazards, and provides a thick cushion against damage caused by chairs, staging equipment, and high heels.

The new gym carpeting replaces its predecessor, an Ultima 4000 Gym Floor Cover that was purchased in 2007. The new EASYROLL™ is simple to maintain thanks to its stain-resistant surface that can be vacuumed or professionally cleaned.
