SAINT JOHN’S UNIVERSITY PROTECTS DONALD MCNEELY SPECTRUM WITH EVENT FLOORING

Collegeville, MN - MASTER 3200™ from COVERMASTER® provides heavy-duty gym floor covering for multi-purpose field house.

An hour north-east of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Saint John's University (SJU) is a university for men in Collegeville. Founded in 1857 by the Benedictine monks of Saint John's Abbey, it is the oldest, continuously operating institution of higher learning in Minnesota. Today, with its sister school, the women’s College of Saint Benedict (CSB) in nearby St. Joseph, they feature more than 70 undergraduate studies as well as graduate programs in nursing and theology.

When Donald McNeely Spectrum, SJU’s multi-purpose field house, was booked for a major trade show, COVERMASTER® was contacted to protect the surface of the regulation size, six-lane, 656-foot indoor track as well as the inner oval space used for either three indoor tennis courts or four basketball courts. SJU wanted event covering that could stand up to the heavy-duty non-athletic use of a trade show as well as other future special events and exhibitions.

SJU ordered 50 thousand square feet of MASTER 3200™ from COVERMASTER® in 40 sections that were custom wicustom manufactured to their size requirements. They also ordered four, 10-roller MASTER SERIES PREMIUM COVERMATE™ handling systems for easy installation, removal, and storage. SJU now has a durable and heavy-duty 32-ounce vinyl event flooring cover that will withstand a wide variety of non-athletic events for years to come.
