ROCHESTER STADIUM SOCCER TURF PROTECTED FROM ROC FEST STAGING

Rochester, NY - MASTERSHIELD PLUS™ protective event flooring panels protect soccer turf from damage.

The Rochester Community Sports Complex in New York state also features what is commonly called “the downtown soccer stadium” and is home to the Flower City Union of the National Premier Soccer League. The stadium also hosts a variety of other sporting activities such as collegiate and youth soccer, football, lacrosse, and field hockey. However, when a one-day ROC FEST event featuring the "I Love the 90's Tour" and the "Tacos & Tequila Festival" was scheduled for the stadium on September 6th, COVERMASTER® was contacted.

Live entertainment on the main event stage includes Vanilla Ice, Color Me Bad, C&C Music Factory and more. All of the staging components would be set up inside the stadium on the soccer turf. Without temporary event flooring, the turf would be damaged and in worst case scenario, need to replaced. Rochester wanted a way to provide medium-duty, stadium turf protection for both pedestrian and lightweight, static equipment and vehicles.

Rochester ordered 35 thousand square feet of 4 by 7 MASTERSHIELD PLUS™ protective event flooring panels from COVERMASTER®. Each panel has a slip resistant diamond tread with inverted ventilation holes that allow moisture and air to reach the turf. After the event, this snap-lock portable event flooring system will be as easy to remove as it was to install. Simply brush out the turf and it’s ready for soccer again. ROC on!!
