Longwood, FL - This year’s NCAA Division II Softball National Championships will take place at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood, Seminole County, Florida. Prior to this, 64 teams across the U.S. will compete in 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments. Winners advance to the super regionals to determine who moves on to the National Championships scheduled for May 17th to 25th at Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park’s six, 220-foot natural turf fields.
For the main field, Seminole County Leisure Services came to COVERMASTER® for a softball field cover that was lightweight and easy to pull on and off the infield when needed. A 120 by 120-foot RAINCOVER ULTRA™ full infield tarp was selected. It’s over 100 pounds lighter than other field tarps this size and is the strongest softball field tarp of its kind in the industry. RAINCOVER ULTRA™ can not only handle and remove hundreds of pounds of water on its surface – it can also do so with less friction and resistance.
In addition to the latest technology in lightweight field cover design, RAINCOVER ULTRA™ also features the COVERMASTER® exclusive Shield-Tek™ coating technology that keeps the infield cooler and drier when in place. A TARPMATE™ lightweight field tarp roller was also ordered to install, remove, and store the RAINCOVER ULTRA™ infield tarp along with a fitted storage cover branded with the Seminole County Florida’s Natural Choice logo. Naturally, all from COVERMASTER®.
