RAINCOVER ULTRA™ THRIVES WITH THE HIVE AT DAYBREAK FIELD IN UTAH
South Jordan, UT - Longtime Customer Makes a Beeline to COVERMASTER® for Infield Baseball Covers
Utah’s Salt Lake Bees originally played baseball under that name from 1915 to 1916 and later from 1958 to 1965. In 1994, the team was known as the Salt Lake Buzz followed by the Salt Lake Stingers from 2001 to 2005 when its name was changed back to the Salt Lake Bees. In 2023 it was announced that the team would be moving to a new stadium about 35 minutes south of Salt Lake City in South Jordan, Utah. The Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team would continue to play in the Pacific Coast League as a Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.
The new, $140 million dollar stadium, Daybreak Field at America First Square, is scheduled for completion in time for the Salt Lake Bees first home game on April 8, 2025. Designed to meet the requirements of Major League Baseball (MLB), Daybreak Field will feature upwards of 8,000 seats, a 12,000 square foot club house along with player and training development areas and multiple batting cages. In preparation for the new season, the Salt Lake Bees, a longtime customer of COVERMASTER®, ordered a new RAINCOVER ULTRA™ 175 by 175-foot infield field cover.
RAINCOVER ULTRA™ is the industry’s strongest baseball field tarp of its kind and over 200 pounds lighter than anything else on the market. It’s easier to handle by the grounds crew and is well known to save time and labor costs. The Salt Lake Bees also ordered custom COVERMASTER® skin tarps, including the base paths, that can be left in place for extended periods of time to prevent evaporation of moisture from the infield clay. To top things off, they also ordered new, scuff resistant DURA-PAD ON DECK CIRCLES with custom, SL branding. You might say that the Salt Lake Bees are buzzing with COVERMASTER® infield baseball covers!
