Extreme Weather Doesn’t Stop the New England Patriots When Under the Dome

Foxborough, MA - The MACLEOD INFLATABLE FIELD COVER™ allows ongoing turf maintenance and team practice.

When the New England Patriots, a National Football League (NFL) team and member of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division, wanted their practice field adjacent to Gillette Stadium protected from the rain, ice, and snow of Boston weather, they purchased the ultimate semi-automated field protection system, the MACLEOD INFLATABLE FIELD COVER™, from COVERMASTER®. This 370 by 240-foot inflatable sports dome consists of several translucent, waterproof, and lightweight sections that include full length restraint webbing nearly every 10 feet and a unique, high performance zipping system. A special support tube that’s complete with air flow and ducting vents runs down the center of the MACLEOD INFLATABLE FIELD COVER™ while a custom-designed heater and fan unit at the end pumps heat into the domed area.

Quickly installed and removed as needed, the MACLEOD INFLATABLE FIELD COVER™ allows grounds crew to work under the dome to cut the grass, line the field, and repair the playing field. The MACLEOD INFLATABLE FIELD COVER™ provides the New England Patriots with ongoing maintenance and extended use of their practice field.
