Unique Terratile^® Features

Terratile^® has all the above benefits of Terraflor^® and Terraplas^®, being of the same design and covered by the same patents, however it also has some distinct advantages;

Storage - it requires approximately half the space

Transportation - approximately twice as many m2 (1,800) can be carried on a truck, therefore if the system was to be hired to a third party, the transport costs are halved

Laying & Lifting - it is 30% quicker

Labor - as it is approximately half the weight it is less tiring on labor

Overlaps - it overlaps, which is unique in turf coverings, therefore there are no gaps for rubbish & liquids to go through onto the turf

Expansion - it has more expansion capacity built into the system, therefore there is absolutely no buckling under extreme temperatures

Cleaning - it is much easier and faster to clean due to its smoother top and bottom surfaces

Patent - Terratile^® works in exactly the same way as Terraflor^®  and Terraplas^® and is covered by the same Patent, therefore it is a proven system

Safety

Safety is of paramount importance when large crowds are involved and Terratile^® is the safest of all turf covers. The solid, totally interlocked floor ensures that there are no tripping hazards, as associated with other systems, and the top surface has an integral non-slip pattern.  It also is the only system available that connects seamlessly into the matching portable roadways, Terrcover II^® and Terratrak^®

Terratile^® uses exactly the same engineering principles and is covered by the same international patents as Terraflor^® and Terraplas^®.

Connectivity to Portable Roadways

Terratile^® has been designed to connect seamlessly to both Terracover II^® and Terratrak^®.  Terratile^® is the same size as the others and also includes the unique overlapping edge.  The result is the only seamless integrated complete turf system available.  During event setup, either Terracover II^® and Terratrak^® can be put into place to establish the necessary portable roadways.  Then, as setup is underway, the Terratile^® system can be installed at the same time.  While the Terratile^® is transluscent, the others are grey.  This creates an easy visual of where vehicular traffic may and may not proceed.  This provides total control for site supervisors and groundskeepers to control where work crews perform their duties.  After setup is complete, on natural turf fields, the Terracover II^®/Terratrak^® can be removed and replaced by Terratile^® for the duration of the event.
