Covermaster Celebrates 40 Years of Professional Service
Covermaster, the leading supplier of sports surface covers in North America, announces its 40th year servicing the sports and recreation community. Founded in Weston, Ontario in 1969, the company has experienced 40 years of growth and looks forward to a bright future.
What started out as a local rental company in the 70’s quickly began to specialize in sports surface covers in the 1980’s. With the expansion of the event and concert industry in the 80’s, the “Covermaster Tarp” was born to service the grounds crew at Ivor Wynn Stadium to host the Pink Floyd world tour. Who would have thought that these simple, flame retardant tarps would pave the way for the complex stage setups of today?

Bob Curry, President of Covermaster, has won many awards including must recently, the Sports Turf Managers Associations’s Harry C. Gill Memorial award.
