Covermaster protective padding products are important elements of the safety environment of gymnasiums, student activity areas, wrestling rooms or anywhere there is potential for participant injury due to wall collision.  Our protective padding will also enhance appearance of your facility and has the added benefit of sound deadening and noise control.

Covermaster offers the widest variety of protective padding alternatives to meet your specific facility requirements.  Some types are permanently mounted while others can easily be removed for use in other physical education activities.  Wall type can also influence which series of padding will work best.  Components from each series can be combined to custom design a padding system that will best suit your needs.

THE MATERIALS...

COVERMASTER^® protective gymnasium padding is custom made to your exact specifications from materials designed for maximum wear and durability.

Covers are made of highly tear resistant vinyls available in a range of standard and custom colors. Most pads can also be supplied with wood backing.

Foam cores are made of cross-linked polyethylene and polyurethane and they are available in various thicknesses and densities, depending on individual needs.

CUSTOM PADDING

Covermaster Inc. can also provide custom padding for unusual situations such as equipment boxes, wall columns, electrical conduits and ventilation ducts.

MOUNTING METHODS

Plywood Backed Pads - Permanently mounted to the wall with a standard 1” lip at the top and bottom for easy installation.  Pads are most commonly 2’ wide by 5’ or 6’ high.  Custom sizes are available.

“Z” Clip Mounting System - This system makes it easier to install and remove plywood backed wall pads.  The top 1” the “Z” Clip Mounting System has replaced top 1” lip.  This mounting system eliminates any unsightly mounting hardware or trim at the top of the pad for a clean smooth look.  Individual panels are easily removed for future service or vinyl repair.

Sewn Wall Mats with Grommets - Sewn wall mats are double stitched products that can be made in any size up to 4’ x 6’ and are easier to install than the plywood backed pads.  An integral vinyl flap on the top and bottom of the pad has grommets to allow for easy installation.  Custom sizes are available.

Sewn Wall Mats with Velcro^® - Pads are used in combination with Velcro strips to make mounting and removal a breeze.  Loop Velcro^® fasteners are sewn to the backside of the pads for mounting to the Velcro^® strips, which are mounted permanently to the wall with the appropriate anchors.
