- The Jack Byrne Arena is the first facility in Newfoundland to purchase a full Terracover Ice Conversion System.
Lorne Tucker, the Manager of the Jack Byrne arena knew he had other options for ice flooring for his facility, but wanted the best system available on the market. He waited until he had the funding for Covermaster’s Terracover Ice system. He had originally talked to other facility managers who had purchased this ice flooring system and was completely sold on its unique features and benefits that it could provide for his facility.
Since mid- June, they have already used their Terracover Ice system a couple of times and the arena staff who install the flooring have indicated it is the best system they have ever worked with. They can complete the conversion process within an hour, are pleased with the higher insulation factor, and the fact that since the panels overlap and interlock together, they have a finished flooring surface.
