Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Packers are the third NFL club to jump on the MacLeod field Cover bandwagon, investing in one of today’s most exciting tools in field management.
The Minnesota Vikings were the first NFL team to order the inflatable field cover, piquing interest across the league in the revolutionary product that protects against weather extremes. Covermaster’s MacLeod Cover provides a complete dome over the top of the playing surface, creating a heated micro-climate environment that allows maintenance and repair work to continue despite rain, snow, or extreme cold.
The semi-automated inflatable sports dome allows for easy handling and fast installation, ensuring that Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin is prepped and ready for game day. The inflatable sports dome is made from a translucent, waterproof, and lightweight material that allows sun and air to reach the natural grass surface.
While the Packers were in Winnipeg, MB for a pre-season game, Covermaster’s installation team arrived in Green Bay to prepare the site and have it installed in August before the team’s return. Each inflatable football field cover comes with the inflatable tube, sheet covers, a fan unit, anchors, and a reel system. Remote monitoring is also available, allowing operations staff to check on the system when away from the stadium.
