Penticton, BC, Canada - Covermaster’s custom fit vinyl seat covers have helped the Junior “A” Penticton Vees ice hockey team create a more intimate and crowd pleasing environment during home games at the South Okanagan Events Centre. In the off season we were approached by the Penticton Vees to help create a more intimate and crowd pleasing seating solution for their arena. The South Okanagan Events Centre has the capacity to host very large crowds but their team felt they needed to reduce seating capacity to bring the crowd closer to the action, and to contain the area in which they needed to service during and after games. The solution was to completely cover and seal off eight sections of seating in the upper bowl at both ends of the rink with Covermaster’s custom manufactured vinyl seat covers. Not only do the seat covers concentrate the fans in the prime seating area to give them a great game day experience, it also reduces the cost of security and clean up. Covermaster assisted in ensuring that the fit was precise and provided the desired look to fit in with the rest of the building’s design aesthetics. Our custom seat covers also provided a new canvas for the team to proudly display the Penticton Vees logo on one section at the end of the rink and the seat covers also provided a highly visible backdrop for new sponsorship opportunities. The new seat covers are proudly displayed making a strong impression early in this year’s BCHL season and are helping to maintain the South Okanagan Events Centre as a premier sports and entertainment venue in British Columbia.
