Close to 80 people, including employees, family members, suppliers, and customers gathered at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto on October 9th to mark Covermaster’s 50th anniversary with an evening of food, fun, and thoroughbred racing excitement.
One of the highlights was the company’s participation in one of the evening’s race winner presentations. Covermaster President Bob Curry, Vice President Ken Curry, and employees recognized trainer Norman McKnight and jockey Rafael Hernandez, riding My Cantata, for their win in the fourth race.
Bob’s welcoming speech, along with a slide show and a display of memorabilia, touched on highlights from the company’s 50-year history. Later, there was plenty of cheering and excitement as the races and a little friendly betting got underway.
