If you’ve never purchased a turf cover before, don’t be fooled by cheap imitations of the Evergreen Turf Cover product line. When it comes to a turf cover, remember the old adage “you get what you pay for.”
Covers with a sewn/grommet edge
* having grommets limits the use and flexibility of the cover
* the cover cannot be shaped, trimmed or cut without unraveling and fraying the material
* grommets are spaced along the seam rather than where they are needed
* the grommets will fall out and separate from the product with minimal use
* grommets will pull out and tear the cover
* anchoring pins cannot be put within the cover due to serious potential damage
Covers that are not constructed to be one-piece
* the mesh is easily separated even with careful handling
* separated mesh causes turf damage and exposure
* no potential for resizing or shaping, limiting you to factory sizing for covers
* cannot be sized for custom fittings or slit, for example: no holes for goalposts
* uniform growth underneath the cover can be compromised
* if the hem goes the cover will unravel and become obsolete
* the material is not reinforced and is less durable for a shorter expected life for the product
The weave (construction) is too tight
* the turf can become smothered damaging the turf and limiting its potential to grow
* there is not enough of nature's elements passing through the cover
* reduces the flow of air and moisture
* results are much more limited with less overall performance for the cover
